We had a garage door that was not able to close (kept reopening). Had two other companies out and they did not diagnose problem correctly and just recommended replacing the entire unit. We scheduled SAME DAY appointment and Nabor came out on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it and was very reasonably priced. Highly recommended! 
Great service and competitive pricing. I recently had my detached garage door replaced by A-1. They were able to give me an estimate and complete the project in 1 week. They always arrived within the time window they promised. They do a full service including removal and haul away of the old garage. There was minimal effort on my part to prepare the garage for the project other than clearing the space they would need to work. They added additional framing around the new garage as well as weather stripping. The total costs of materials, motor and installation was $1600 and they offer a significant cash discount. I purchased the cheapest motor they had and I still think its incredibly quiet. The installation time as about 4 hours. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new garage door. 
- Wow! I called at 8:30am and left a message and Connie called me back at 9am to schedule service at 10am! Incredible! Omar arrived promptly at 10, assessed the door, and began working. It's 10:40 and my once totally non-operational garage door is fully functional! I am so impressed. (PS it's a Monday morning!!)
Was in need of services to our garage door and found that A1 had great reviews on several sites. I sent them a message inquiring about a quote and they responded quickly. The quote was so reasonable that I inquired when they could come out. Surprisingly, they were able to come out that day! They came out on time and the work was quickly done! - Really great experience recently with the team from A-1. Garage door opener stopped working and my usual attempts at getting it running again all failed. I phoned A-1 on a Friday afternoon and described my issue. Connie gave me several suggestions over the phone for trying to fix it and spare me the expense of a visit from a technician, a nice touch. Unfortunately I couldn't self-diagnose the problem, so I phoned A-1 again to ask if they could send someone out. Connie said they could and two technicians (Freddy and R-something) were knocking on my door within 30 minutes...incredible. After a few minutes inspecting my opener, the two gentlemen from A-1 said the whole opener would need to be replaced, as my opener was 15 years old and the broken part is no longer manufactured. Fortunately the technicians had several new openers in the bed of their truck and gave me the option to choose among three different models. After electing a wi-fi compatible model from LiftMaster, the technicians went to work replacing the garage door opener. About 90 minutes later, I made a cash payment to the technicians (saved about 10%) and was standing there admiring my brand new, super quiet garage door opener. Being in the service business myself, I valued the advice, response time and professionalism of Connie, Freddy and his partner from the team at A-1, and wholeheartedly endorse them for all of your garage door needs.
We were given a time range of 4 PM to 6 PM. The service provider arrived around 5:40 PM. Our issue was that the garage door wouldn't fully close. When it would get close to the ground and completely close it would revert back and open again. The service provider did some quick maintenance on the garage, fixed a few screws and some lights and minutes later the garage is fully functioning again. The best part was the total. It was completely reasonable and better than expected. We highly recommend A1's services! Thank you Omar!!!

So these guys were amazingly prompt and professional in coming out to do my estimate. They came the next day and I was impressed with the technician who came out to bid my project.
That's where everything ended. I was supposed to get a quote by email. After a week, nothing. I called, was told I would get it that day, nothing. Since then I have called and left two messages with no call back and still no quote. I was looking forward to doing business with them but I guess now I have to move on. I was willing to spend the extra money to have them do a great job with a high end garage door but I guess they didn't want my business!
I am impressed! Called to have my two car garage door's tension spring replaced. Greeted very nicely by Connie, who was very nice and guiding on the phone. The whole deal was done and garage door working better than before!

He even checked my door tracks and found spots where the are binding a bit - and fixed it. Lubed everything up, showed me where to apply more next year, friendly - all good things! Will call them again. Thanks! 
- I needed to replace an old wood garage door and called A-1 strictly because the yelp reviews were so great. I'm so glad I did. I highly highly recommend these guys. I phoned them on a Friday and spoke to Connie to schedule an appt. She couldn't have been nicer!! They came out the following Monday with all the information I needed to order a new door. They had the new door installed by Thursday and hauled off the very heavy wood door in seamless fashion. The entire crew was extremely nice and very thorough with explaining things.

Amazing and Super Fast service. I called for an emergency garage fix and they came within 1 hour. Omar arrived and was very knowledgeable. He was polite, efficient and very knowledgeable. Connie set our appointment and here we are three days later with a beautiful, fresh, new, quiet garage door. I own rental property and have used them twice on two separate properties. The first time I used them I had American Home Shield insurance on a duplex in Playa Del Rey but the service provider they sent said the repair wasn't covered by my AHS insurance and quoted me a ridiculous price to replace the garage door arm assembly. I called A-1 to come out and the owner, who I believe is retired, quoted me a much better price and just came across as someone you could trust.
The second time I used them was for a commercial type gate. I originally used another vendor because A1 was reluctant to come as far north as Venice. However, after repeated issues with the gate, I had the A1 repair guy come out and he fixed the issue with sensors that were keeping the gate from opening at less than what the other person had charged on visits and I haven't had an issue since. Having rental properties, I work lots of vendors and in my two experiences they provided me what I considered excellent service at a competitive price and I will be using them again.

Omar came and was fantastic! Installed the keypad, set it up, and gave me instructions (and directions) on how to setup and do later.
Then he lubricated the door itself (something I had not gotten to previously) 
A-1 services was great. It was fast, easy, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend to anyone getting a smog test. 
- Needed my garage door repaired on a Saturday afternoon. Frank came within the hour of my call and repaired the door. He was prompt and professional. Will definitely use A-1 Garage Door Service again.
What else can I say. I had someone come look at my garage door that was not installed properly the first time. I was recommended another business that is also well known in the area who had the worst follow up one could imagine. After several phone calls and no one would call back or we were always waiting on the owner I went down my list and found A-1 garage.
From the very beginning they were extremely professional on the phone and very thorough. I could tell right away this business was on top of their game in my prior experience. From there they had a technician out in two days and the following week the install was taken care of. The two technicians were very professional and knew their stuff as this was a difficult install. But they told me it could be done where as the first company told me it was impossible.
I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed.

What a great company! I called and they were able to come out same day. I ended up making an appointment for the next morning and the technician arrived at the very beginning of the service window. Omar was wonderful! He replaced my broken and worn out springs, reinforced the motor, and even helped me reset the system and program my clickers and my car! He couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The price was very reasonable and the service was top notch.
