Upon finding I could not open my garage door (broken spring), I called and received service the same day. Very professional. This is my second time using A-1, they are prompt and reliable! 
They were prompt, and I was in need. But I feel like I was ripped off. I was charged double and even triple for some of the material, plus the service call and labor. Overall, it's a very expensive fix, at least with this company. 
- So these guys were amazingly prompt and professional in coming out to do my estimate. They came the next day and I was impressed with the technician who came out to bid my project.
That's where everything ended. I was supposed to get a quote by email. After a week, nothing. I called, was told I would get it that day, nothing. Since then I have called and left two messages with no call back and still no quote. I was looking forward to doing business with them but I guess now I have to move on. I was willing to spend the extra money to have them do a great job with a high end garage door but I guess they didn't want my business!
Amazing and Super Fast service. I called for an emergency garage fix and they came within 1 hour. Omar arrived and was very knowledgeable. The price is unbeatable and he was very quick and to the point and got the job done very professionally. This will always be my go-to service if i ever need my garage fixed. I had a real good experience with setting up a same-day appointment. The technician was very knowledgeable and provided information on the what, why and how this problem started. I would highly recommend them for anyone that is having problems with their garage door. 
- We replaced old door to new steel door. Frank suggested to match the color to our house so it took extra 3 weeks for replacement.
It took them 4 hours to do it and very professional work.

What else can I say. I had someone come look at my garage door that was not installed properly the first time. I was recommended another business that is also well known in the area who had the worst follow up one could imagine. After several phone calls and no one would call back or we were always waiting on the owner I went down my list and found A-1 garage.
From the very beginning they were extremely professional on the phone and very thorough. I could tell right away this business was on top of their game in my prior experience. From there they had a technician out in two days and the following week the install was taken care of. The two technicians were very professional and knew their stuff as this was a difficult install. But they told me it could be done where as the first company told me it was impossible.
I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed.

He was polite, efficient and very knowledgeable. Connie set our appointment and here we are three days later with a beautiful, fresh, new, quiet garage door. A-1 services was great. It was fast, easy, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend to anyone getting a smog test.
- Since my ancient Sears garage door system broke down,I had it replaced. I also decided to get the original heavy wooden Door replaced. The crew from A-1 came out on time and within a couple hours I had the door and system replaced.
I had a garage door failure and unhappy with a previous company that couldn't even show up to assess my problem I called A-1 because of their excellent reviews and ratings. I called at 8:30am on a Saturday morning and explained the issue I had with my Genie opener and she asked if it was okay to slot me in for a 9-11am service call. I couldn't believe that they were able to come out first thing on a Saturday to take a look.
Omar showed up an hour later and new exactly the potential issue. He was able to diagnose the motor issue over the phone, but still made the trip to assess. He immediately ran some tests and determined it was the motor and went on to explain how the newer Genie models weren't that great. He didn't have to sell that statement too hard because there were 3 Genie models he had to replace the day before.
Thinking that they would have to reschedule to replace my unit, they were actually able to replace it on the spot after diagnosing the problem and 2 hours later a brand new unit and working garage door.
Great customer service and worked quickly. Highly recommend! 
- I cannot express the superb work of this company! After receiving a few quotes, some higher and some lower, I went with my instinct and Yelp reviews. A1 exceeded my expectations in regards to responsiveness, professionalism and cleanliness! They were ready to start with my installation of 5 garage doors within 3 days! One of my tenants even commented, "Oh, you swept my garage out! Thank you!" Connie was attentive and negotiable. I had a budget, and A1 met it! Nabor and his crew are awesome!!!! Great service and competitive pricing. I recently had my detached garage door replaced by A-1. They were able to give me an estimate and complete the project in 1 week. They always arrived within the time window they promised. They do a full service including removal and haul away of the old garage. There was minimal effort on my part to prepare the garage for the project other than clearing the space they would need to work. They added additional framing around the new garage as well as weather stripping. The total costs of materials, motor and installation was $1600 and they offer a significant cash discount. I purchased the cheapest motor they had and I still think its incredibly quiet. The installation time as about 4 hours. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new garage door.
- I had a serious garage door emergency so I checked Yelp and based on their excellent reviews and ratings I called A-1 Garage Door Service. I spoke with Connie and right from the start I felt as if I made the right choice.
She assured me a technician would be at my home within the hour and sure enough Omar arrived within that window. I cannot say enough good things about Omar. He was very professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent repair job on my heavy wood garage door. And their prices were very reasonably.

I was able to send a request for an estimate and the A-1 garage owner gave me a decent quote on 2 car garage door. I will make an appointment hopefully soon!

- I own rental property and have used them twice on two separate properties. The first time I used them I had American Home Shield insurance on a duplex in Playa Del Rey but the service provider they sent said the repair wasn't covered by my AHS insurance and quoted me a ridiculous price to replace the garage door arm assembly. I called A-1 to come out and the owner, who I believe is retired, quoted me a much better price and just came across as someone you could trust.
The second time I used them was for a commercial type gate. I originally used another vendor because A1 was reluctant to come as far north as Venice. However, after repeated issues with the gate, I had the A1 repair guy come out and he fixed the issue with sensors that were keeping the gate from opening at less than what the other person had charged on visits and I haven't had an issue since. Having rental properties, I work lots of vendors and in my two experiences they provided me what I considered excellent service at a competitive price and I will be using them again.
As a result of my garage door being inoperable, today was my first opportunity to utilize the services of A-1 Garage Door Service. My contact was a very pleasant experience. Omar, the Technician, arrived within the time perimeters that were established for the appointment. Omar provided excellent services that I felt went beyond the necessary repair of my garage door. In the future, if necessary, I will definitely utilize their services and will highly recommend them to those needing garage repair services.
- Really great experience recently with the team from A-1. Garage door opener stopped working and my usual attempts at getting it running again all failed. I phoned A-1 on a Friday afternoon and described my issue. Connie gave me several suggestions over the phone for trying to fix it and spare me the expense of a visit from a technician, a nice touch. Unfortunately I couldn't self-diagnose the problem, so I phoned A-1 again to ask if they could send someone out. Connie said they could and two technicians (Freddy and R-something) were knocking on my door within 30 minutes...incredible. After a few minutes inspecting my opener, the two gentlemen from A-1 said the whole opener would need to be replaced, as my opener was 15 years old and the broken part is no longer manufactured. Fortunately the technicians had several new openers in the bed of their truck and gave me the option to choose among three different models. After electing a wi-fi compatible model from LiftMaster, the technicians went to work replacing the garage door opener. About 90 minutes later, I made a cash payment to the technicians (saved about 10%) and was standing there admiring my brand new, super quiet garage door opener. Being in the service business myself, I valued the advice, response time and professionalism of Connie, Freddy and his partner from the team at A-1, and wholeheartedly endorse them for all of your garage door needs.
I picked A-1 Garage Door Service to install my Chamberlain RJO20 wall mount garage door opener purchased from Lowe's. I used A-1 based on their high ratings on the Yelp, friendliness on the phone, product knowledge and fair pricing.
Nabor, the installner came on time even though it was pouring heavily on that afternoon. He was a pleasant and friendly gentleman. He was experienced and took the job seriously. He did not turn on loud music when he was working. He did not take any short cut and replaced all the old opener wirings for the door control and the safety reversing sensors with the new ones provided by Chamberlain. My garage door was out of balance, i.e. when it was detached from the opener, it was too heavy to lift and pull and would keep dropping down to the ground if I let go my hands. He was able to balance it back to the original factory specifications. Finally, Nabor even walked the extra mile, he helped me to pair the opener to my two HomeLink equipped cars.
