Our garage door springs broke so we got three estimates for repair. A1 Garage Door Service was the best deal plus they came out right away and fixed everything. If you need someone for your garage doors this is the place to go. 
We replaced old door to new steel door. Frank suggested to match the color to our house so it took extra 3 weeks for replacement.
It took them 4 hours to do it and very professional work.

Needed my garage door repaired on a Saturday afternoon. Frank came within the hour of my call and repaired the door. He was prompt and professional. Will definitely use A-1 Garage Door Service again. 
- Great service and competitive pricing. I recently had my detached garage door replaced by A-1. They were able to give me an estimate and complete the project in 1 week. They always arrived within the time window they promised. They do a full service including removal and haul away of the old garage. There was minimal effort on my part to prepare the garage for the project other than clearing the space they would need to work. They added additional framing around the new garage as well as weather stripping. The total costs of materials, motor and installation was $1600 and they offer a significant cash discount. I purchased the cheapest motor they had and I still think its incredibly quiet. The installation time as about 4 hours. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new garage door.
Excellent service from A1 Garage Door Service. I needed a general tune up and specifically a garage door tension spring adjusted. Kyle R arrived on time and was very professional and knew his job well. He inspected everything, told me what were the issues he found and listed out the tune up activities and how they would fix the issues. He completed the tuneup including the adjustment of the Spring. Everything is working as I wanted now, thanks to Kyle. Will recommend A1 to others.

Really great experience recently with the team from A-1. Garage door opener stopped working and my usual attempts at getting it running again all failed. I phoned A-1 on a Friday afternoon and described my issue. Connie gave me several suggestions over the phone for trying to fix it and spare me the expense of a visit from a technician, a nice touch. Unfortunately I couldn't self-diagnose the problem, so I phoned A-1 again to ask if they could send someone out. Connie said they could and two technicians (Freddy and R-something) were knocking on my door within 30 minutes...incredible. After a few minutes inspecting my opener, the two gentlemen from A-1 said the whole opener would need to be replaced, as my opener was 15 years old and the broken part is no longer manufactured. Fortunately the technicians had several new openers in the bed of their truck and gave me the option to choose among three different models. After electing a wi-fi compatible model from LiftMaster, the technicians went to work replacing the garage door opener. About 90 minutes later, I made a cash payment to the technicians (saved about 10%) and was standing there admiring my brand new, super quiet garage door opener. Being in the service business myself, I valued the advice, response time and professionalism of Connie, Freddy and his partner from the team at A-1, and wholeheartedly endorse them for all of your garage door needs.

Oscar replaced broken coils and on my garage door and after he was done he inspected and lubricated the joints as well as made sure that the settings were correct on the garage door.
I definitely recommend this place. 
A-1 services was great. It was fast, easy, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend to anyone getting a smog test. 
- We were given a time range of 4 PM to 6 PM. The service provider arrived around 5:40 PM. Our issue was that the garage door wouldn't fully close. When it would get close to the ground and completely close it would revert back and open again. The service provider did some quick maintenance on the garage, fixed a few screws and some lights and minutes later the garage is fully functioning again. The best part was the total. It was completely reasonable and better than expected. We highly recommend A1's services! Thank you Omar!!!
I bought a house that did not have an automatic door or even a lock - this was a security concern for me. I called A-1 and by the end of the day and Frank had me fully outfitted at a very fair price. Can't say enough about these guys.
- I had a garage door failure and unhappy with a previous company that couldn't even show up to assess my problem I called A-1 because of their excellent reviews and ratings. I called at 8:30am on a Saturday morning and explained the issue I had with my Genie opener and she asked if it was okay to slot me in for a 9-11am service call. I couldn't believe that they were able to come out first thing on a Saturday to take a look.
Omar showed up an hour later and new exactly the potential issue. He was able to diagnose the motor issue over the phone, but still made the trip to assess. He immediately ran some tests and determined it was the motor and went on to explain how the newer Genie models weren't that great. He didn't have to sell that statement too hard because there were 3 Genie models he had to replace the day before.
Thinking that they would have to reschedule to replace my unit, they were actually able to replace it on the spot after diagnosing the problem and 2 hours later a brand new unit and working garage door.
Great customer service and worked quickly. Highly recommend! 
Since my ancient Sears garage door system broke down,I had it replaced. I also decided to get the original heavy wooden Door replaced. The crew from A-1 came out on time and within a couple hours I had the door and system replaced.
- We had a garage door that was not able to close (kept reopening). Had two other companies out and they did not diagnose problem correctly and just recommended replacing the entire unit. We scheduled SAME DAY appointment and Nabor came out on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it and was very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
Our garage door on the house that we bought had multiple problems.
I requested someone to come out to install a keypad and adjust the motor mechanics on my garage door. They quoted me a price over the phone and we set up an appointment for the next day. Two technicians came out.
They quickly installed the keypad and also brought additional supplies to make the motor connected to 'the cloud' so that the garage can be controlled via phone or the Google Assistant. I decided to not add the Internet-connected capabilities, which they were fine with. Also, when adding the keypad, they turned away when asking me to enter my key code, as a nod towards security, which I appreciated.
They also tuned the motor so that the door always opened all the way (it usually only opened 70% of the way...) and so that it ran quieter.
They also noted that the 'manual unlock' feature on the door was not working. They did not push me to fix it but noted that I would be unable to open the garage door when the power was out. This is a problem for me since we have no door leading into the garage from our house. Their comment actually reminded me of at least one time when the power went out and I was unable to go into the garage to get flashlights. We also keep food in there in case of emergencies. So I decided to get the 'manual unlock' replaced. They replaced it and showed me how to operate it.
They communicated clearly and were reasonably priced. I plan to use them for future garage door needs. 
- I own rental property and have used them twice on two separate properties. The first time I used them I had American Home Shield insurance on a duplex in Playa Del Rey but the service provider they sent said the repair wasn't covered by my AHS insurance and quoted me a ridiculous price to replace the garage door arm assembly. I called A-1 to come out and the owner, who I believe is retired, quoted me a much better price and just came across as someone you could trust.
The second time I used them was for a commercial type gate. I originally used another vendor because A1 was reluctant to come as far north as Venice. However, after repeated issues with the gate, I had the A1 repair guy come out and he fixed the issue with sensors that were keeping the gate from opening at less than what the other person had charged on visits and I haven't had an issue since. Having rental properties, I work lots of vendors and in my two experiences they provided me what I considered excellent service at a competitive price and I will be using them again.
What a great company! I called and they were able to come out same day. I ended up making an appointment for the next morning and the technician arrived at the very beginning of the service window. Omar was wonderful! He replaced my broken and worn out springs, reinforced the motor, and even helped me reset the system and program my clickers and my car! He couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The price was very reasonable and the service was top notch.
